What 's All About

This two-day tour offers a perfect introduction to Bhutan, combining the serene beauty of Paro with the vibrant atmosphere of Thimphu. You’ll explore Paro’s charming town and its key attractions, including the iconic Tiger's Nest Monastery. The program also includes a visit to the bustling capital, Thimphu, where you’ll discover the city's most significant landmarks. Stay at Takstangri-La for both nights, enjoying the comfort of one base while exploring the highlights of both Paro and Thimphu.

Day-by-Day Program

Day 1 – Takstang Hike

- Begin with the iconic hike to the Tiger's Nest Monastery (Taktsang), perched on a dramatic cliff at 3,120 meters above sea level. 

- Return to Takstangri-La for a restful evening and overnight stay.

 

​Day 2 – Exploring Thimphu

- After breakfast, drive to Thimphu. 

- Visit Buddha Dordenma, the enormous sitting Buddha, with its panoramic view of the valley. 

- Take a 45-minute hike around Kuenselphodrang Park for scenic views. 

- Visit the National Memorial Chorten, a spiritual hub and a place of reflection. 

- Explore Tashichho Dzong, the administrative heart of Bhutan, and witness the ceremonial unfurling of the national flag. 

- Stroll through the vibrant streets of Thimphu City and enjoy the local culture and shopping. 

- Enjoy lunch in Thimphu, with an option for dinner in either Thimphu or Paro. 

- Return to Paro and stay overnight at Takstangri-La.
